The building of the factory in Ózd began in 1846.
In the museum mockups represent the single building of the factory at the time. One mine section, a wooden carriage and hand-held instruments reflect the technical quality of the end of the 19th century. Emphasis is made upon the importance of the brown coal in the life of the factory and the settlement.
In 1882 a significant development was executed in the factory. A new factory hall was also built. This period is represented by original, coloured sketches and large photographs.
Through the exhibition we can follow up the stations of iron ore processing (from the stove to the blast-furnace).
In Ózdon blast-furnaces were made between 1906 and 1913. Beyond these hand-held instruments are also visible at the exhibition. The series of steel-mockups is opened by a 25 tons SM-stove (of Batho system). We can see the mockups of various other installations, too. Samples of some products made here are also exhibited.
