A taste of the exhibition The cartographical material contains the most elementary instrument of geodesy from the middle of the 19th century to the middle of the 20th century. There are theodolites, length and hight measuring instruments, prisms, chains, planimeters, etc. There is a special pantograph originating from the second half of the 19th century: it was used for diminishing maps.

A real rarity is a family cadastre from 1814, which all the possessions of a Transsylvanian family.

Among our exhibited maps there are some handwritten ones, for instance a survey of Badacsony from 1860, or the map of Hungary and Transsylvania made by Ferenc Karacs (1830).
