In the first hall visitors can follow up the history of the university in chronological order. They can learn about the fouders, the directors and the professors who graetly contributed to the reputation of the institute.
On the wall there are to maps of Europe, indicating that in the year of founding the institute where and how other European agricultural institute were run. The map tells us that there is not one more institution which would still be functioning today, and also informs us about of the number of enrolling students (in Hungary) between 1818 and 1917. We can gather data about the institute during the two world wars, our teachers and martyrs, and the tragic event and the victims of 1956.
In the other room a beautiful and a more than 100 year-old flag welcomes the visitors, which was given to the youth of the academy in the 1000th anniversary of the Hungarian conquest.
The flag itself - which compliments the work of the members of the sisterhood near Vienna - was made of sea green heavy silk, the middle of which there is Ceres, the goddess of agriculture. The figure of Ceres is embraced by wheat wreath made of small 24 carat golden plates. On the top of the flag there is the watchword of the youth: "the sweat of the husbandman increases the property!"
Having seen the flag the visitors may get a taste of the social and cultural life of the students. They can see photoes of the concerts held by the academy's band, the revelry of the farmers' life, the function and the results of the Athletic club. (Rudolf Bauer obtained golden medal on the olimpic games held in Paris in 1900).
