The exhibition theme is road, one of the oldest elements of transportation, which people began to use immediately, just like natural streams and lakes. The exhibition represents the building and developing and maintaining of roads (ant the technical changes connected to them) from the beginning of the 1920'ies.
The exhibited objects and pictures thematically follow up the most important steps of road and bridge construction and the structures of the various ages. The material is extremely rich (such as road qualifying devices, dilatational devices, old bicycle, cart wheels, hand tools, bridge parts, etc.).
A computerized interactive program demonstrates the various bridge types, static systems, the way of bearing the load and the changes of the forms. A special part of the exhibition is a series of pavements that can be used for making roads.
