We highlight only a few of the 33 buildings at the open air exhibition.
From Tschanigraben (Güssing) we imported a dwelling house into the Skanzen. The smoky kitchen house was built in the 18th century. It was the first building moved to Geresdorf in 1973.
The so-called "Wonder House" arrived from Güssing (Németújvár). The oldest parts of the house are the smoky kitchen and the first room from the 18th century. In 1910, a tile stove was set up in the chamber, thus it turned into a "summer kitchen". The hatched roof was changed for tiled roof the same year. In 1998, the barnyard went to ruins around 1974 was rebuilt. Nowadays, it serves as location for programs, exhibitions and seminars.
The belfry of Rehgiabet from the 18th century (Őzgödör, Gerersdorf) was demolished in 1925. Its reconstruction is also shown at the Skanzen.
The forgery was moved here from Welten-Bergen (Velike, Jennersdorf/Gyanafalva/). Three generation of smiths worked in the building. A small collection of metal processing machines is displayed in the attached barn.
The carpenter house (Kteinmürbisch Kteinmürbisch, Güssing) is from 1932-39. It is a "steier" half-timbered house with a swallow-tale attachment. In summer, the Polycollege of Vienna regularly has artisan workshops here.
