The Pro-Natura permanent exhibition upstairs deals with the flora and fauna in Békés County, mostly by slides. Fossils represent geological past. The visitors can also read interesting writings about Hungarian naturalists.
Showcases in the newly opened exhibition rooms have items from less known countries. The visitors can also read texts on new scientific results and discoveries. The room nicknamed Pewit Snug invites the visitors to learn about natural scientific work where a collection of dissected animals and bird eggs, snails and shells, as well as a botanical collection await the quests.
The visitors can study life in the water of the Körös River in an over 200-litre aquarium. A three dimensional film is screened about the natural sights in the county. Under the 20 m2 glass in the floor a satellite photo of Békés County is shown. Children can try the malacologists’ work themselves .
