The body of the collection was put together by Mrs. Szakács Magda Mészáros fifty years ago. She bought piece after piece, sewings, home fabric and cloths while travelling through Palóc Land. She processed the rich variation of embroidery she found on home fabric which she showed at national applications. She was honoured with the title "Folk Applied Artist".
A taste of the exhibition
She passed her passion of collecting ont o her granddaughter, Mrs. Lovász Juhász Rita, the textile designer. Her objective is to process Palóc clothing.
Her intention while designing is to perpetuate folk tradition in modern design cloths.

She has won a number of awards at applications and contests. In 1987 she was awarded with the title "Folk Applied Artist", in 1999 with the “Young Master of Folk Art".
