Our exhibitor, László Fekete was invited to New York as a permanent member by Garth Clark the worldwide well known leading gallery owner and specialist. He had four solo exhibitions in one of the busiest gallery district in the city and in the world, in the 57th Street between 1994 and 2001.

This honour and appreciation was given only to him as a Hungarian artist in the whole East- and Middle-Europe.

At the collective exhibitions of the gallery his sculptures were among world star artists (Picasso, Malevics, Lichtenstein, Oldenburg, Fontana, Caro, Arman, Jeanclos, F.L. Wright, Sottsass) together with his clay works.

Seven large North-American , Canadian art museums bought his works of art, so there are his works in those collections where even the most famous artists from Hungarian origins do not have sculptures or paintings.

In the last few years he was invited by excellent art galleries in France, Belgium, Germany. In Paris, Marseille, Brussels he was invited as a permanent member, in Heidelberg the most famous German ceramic gallery has his sculptures made of clay or porcelain.

In spring 2012 there was a supreme breakthrough in the MOMA in Houston, when the huge museum bought and took over the best pieces from Garth Clark.

Despite of the concurrence 7 pieces of the artist got place among the 11 pieces which represent East- and Middle-Europe. This up to now unique event was crowned by a catalogue-book where the Hungarian artist had a complimentary place among the above mentioned well known artists and “only ceramist” stars.

This catalogue has become the “world book” of the artistic form since April. It is at all important museums of fine and applied arts, universities and galleries all over the world and the new edition is being planned.

The Budapest Gallery has to do without those most important pieces which are in the USA, but it can give a whole picture of the brand new works.

Beside the museum purchases about 50-60 pieces are there in private collections in several places in the world.
