Once again, the latest exhibition of the Janus Pannonius Museum guides the visitors to the Ottoman world. The exhibition presents more than a hundred ceramics recalling the sixteenth and seventeenth century atmosphere.

The first with pottery artists members mostly held a conference in 2014 conference which was followed by a camp with the theme of sixteenth and seventeenth century ceramic art. The organizers chose this particular era, because according to their experience, the Turkish occupation era aroused interest of both archaeologists and ethnographers only in recent times really. Pottery from the era is really abundant.

The association with hard work collected works of art enough for an exhibition. First in Balatonboglár in August 2014, then in October 2014 were exhibitions held in Budapest Pottery Park entitled<em>Turkish or not Turkish? - The Carpathian Basin 16-17th Century Finds Inspiration.

The exhibition presents Iznik vases, bowls, tiles, works inspired by footed bowls from Turkish palisade fortress and bowls and plates decorated with floral written motifs by artist members of the Craft Guild Adventure Workshop (Marcsi Bakonyi, Andi Hadikfalvi, Juli Kiss, Edith Kőszegi, Andrea Pölös, Gizi Szekér). The ensemble is complemented by a rich artistic tile collection.

The exhibition is recommended for all those who are susceptible of beautiful structures, who are interested in this exciting period of history, young and old alike.
