The rough stone walls and the irregular layout create spaces with an unusual atmosphere. In the cavernous space formed by man and nature the boundaries merge into one another; the exciting effect of the out of the ordinary exhibition space results from a harmony between the built-up and natural environments.

The quarry (cave) area is a multifunctional space, in which the exhibition is divided into two major units: one part is a palaeontology presentation which describes the circumstances in which the Leitha Limestone quarried in the area was formed, and the other part deals with utilisation of the Leitha Limestone.
