The life-work of the poet is still organic part of Hungarian culture; most of his poems are as modern as when they were written. He is one of the most significant poets of the 20th century. His poetry questioned not only the problems of the period they were written in but also the 20th century.
Attila József
The exhibition organized in the framework of the József Attila Memorial Year. We remember the life of the poet from his childhood to his tragic death. The basic material is the volumes owned by the library, as well as the facsimile editions. The works of famous sculptors inspired by the poems of József Attila are also shown.

Most of the photos of József Attila were mostly made of amateurs. There are also portraits and pictures showing the poem all by himself in different important stages of his life. Through the self-confessions of the poet and the memories of his contemporaries we present the life of József Attila.
