Telek Béla (30 December 1936, Jászberény) is a painter, graphic artist, caricaturist and teacher. He received his teacher diploma in Jászberény in 1955 and later ha graduated from the Training Collage of Szeged in 1966. Ever since 1976, he teaches at the Arts Education Department of the JTKF. His teachers were Vuics István, Fejér Mária, Fischer Ernő, Winkler László and Sáros András. He was among the founders and is in the management of the National Association of the Hungarian Arts Teachers and the ALKOTÁRS Arts Association of Jászberény.
His topics are the homesteads of the Jászság and the Great Hungarian Planes. He is also interested in applied graphics, makes illustrations and his caricatures are regularly published in magazines. His pictures are included in public- and private collections.
After holding several one-man and collective exhibitions, now he holds an exhibition the material selected of his oeuvre on his 70th birthday. The display in open until 30 October in the Jászkürt Inn (6, Déryné Street).
