The Jewish Museum of Vienna has held exhibitions in Israel, Florida, Sarajevo, Lendva, Maribor, Budapest, Debrecen, Kaposvár, Körmend, Keszthely, Pécs, Szombathely, Nagykanizsa, Zalaegerszeg, Szeged after which the exhibition is shown in Székesfehérvár from 22 April.
The pictures, pageants shown with holographic technique visualize the history of the Jews of Vienna from the 13-14th to nowadays. The exhibition presents interesting articles of personal use, portraits of outstanding public personae, politicians, artists of the Enlightenment, pictures of the process of assimilation, Zionism and anti-Semitism.
Loyalty and patriotism are shown in a separate unit via voluntarily donated objects and presentation of national care. Personal articles of famous people and colored photos revive days of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy, the throbbing cultural life of Vienna. The deportation of the Jew of Vienna began in 1941. 65459 Austrian Jews died in concentration camps.
From 1945 to 1948 everything had to be started again. Our exhibition closes with pictures of these times.
The organizers honor the inventor of the holograph, the Hungarian Gábor Dénes by applying this method to show the material.
