Géza Samu Museum - Zengővárkony
Géza Samu Museum
Address: 7720, Zengővárkony Iskola u. 2.
The old Catholic school was built by the Public Found of Pécsvárad in 1823 in classicist style. There are two classrooms upstairs, a flat for the teacher downstairs. There is also a servant quarter in the house, as well as a barn in the yard. The school was run until 1994. In 2000 the building was renovated based on the design of the Kossuth Prize awarded architect, Sándor Dévényi. Presently, the building hosts the permanent exhibition of the sculptor Géza Samu, as well as a display on school history. continue
