The Esterházy Castle that was designed by the architect Jakab Fellenthali Fellner is situated by the Old Lake in Tata, near the fortress. The castle was constructed in the period between 1765 and 1780 in the Baroque style. The young architect Jakab Fellenthali Fellner became the head architect for the counts Esterházy by designing the Esterházy residence in Tata. With time passing he was given nobility for his merits.
