In the 1960's Ferenc Bours organized a 'Wine Museum' of his own collection of bottled drinks. He became interested in lamps while searching for the proper lighting of the museum. He became so much interested in the beautiful pieces that without noticing it he started to collect them. He bought the objects displayed with his own money with a few exception. There were days when he purchased 20-25 of them. Most of the objects were dirty and rusty, some even lacking parts. Thus after learning the trade of restoration he repaired them all. Presently there are 1000-1100 pieces are displayed in the sole Lamp Museum of the country. The institution was even listed in the Guinness Records.
