The volunteer fireworks unit was established in 1881 on the initiative of earl Ferenc Széchenyi (grandson of the founder of the National Museum). The unit had been working up to the the 1950'ies. The second sentinel of the Somogy County Fireworks Supervision was esatblished in 1951.
