Many students of Jászberény joined the Explorers Association of Hungary. The association organized an exhibition in the Children's House in 1993 which remembered the children heroes among whom many came from Jászberény. Orbán Sipos who later founded the museum joined the red hats when he was 14.
A taste of the exhibition
In the battle of Tápióbicske on 4, April, 1849 the little group played an important role in the victory. They also fought in the expedition at springtime. Many of them died for freedom.

The children's house of Jászberény was closed and the exhibition was placed in the Jász Museum in 1997. This is the only exhibition of this kind in Hungary. Our material may be small but is still unique.
