The Bódva-valley Library- and Library historical collection is one of a rugged fate. Its collecting work was supervised by the former directors of the former library collection (Imre Slezsák and Béla Augusztinyi. The collection was first exhibited in Trízsben, then later in Égerszögön. In 1998 it was placed in the Ragályi Tamás library of Borsod. After this library was closed down, the collection was transferred to the museum and is seen in the Horkay-house as an exhibition entitled “Reading room from the period between the two world wars".

Old pieces of library furniture, tools, calendars, prayer-books and Bible collections, ornament albums and early reviews are exhibited. The collectio owns a considerable amount of books.
