Óbánya, a tiny little village of the East-Mecsek region became well known for its potters and their richly ornamented, carved and scraped potteries about 100 years ago. The exhibition was set in memory of these masters.
The exhibition was renewed by a glass collection
134 of the displayed bowls, plates, jugs and mugs are given by Ferenc Bíró MD of Pécsvárad, from his own collection to the Óbánya German Literary Cultural Association. The clothes, photos, documents, woodcarvings and potteries of the past are all given by the inhabitants of the village. Óbánya apart from its natural beauty has been famous for this exhibition since 1997.
