The exhibition is about the homesteads of Jászágó and families who once lived there via maps from the 19th century. The situation of schooling system and the number of children in the families is controversial. In consequence of this, so-called 'nook schools' were organized that operated until the first real schools were opened in 1924.
Pageants show the growth in the number of schools. Old tablets show how history, writing, grammar and mathematics were taught in olden times.
The memories of a PE teacher are of her 15-year work is interesting. We can see the first talents of the school: Csikós Béla who began his studies at a homestead school and ended up receiving doctorate from the Polytechnic University.
In the show cases contemporary writings, study books and other student accessories can be seen. We can also read from some of the books written somewhere between WWI and WWII. Of course, we also show desks, blackboards and a teacher desk.
