The permanent exhibition opened in May 2005 presents the history of the town Orosháza and its region from the archeological periods to nowadays. We show the objects characteristic of our past and environment. Those who are interested in archeology, history or ethnography may find interesting information at our display.
A taste of the exhibition
The permanent exhibition showing the historic-geographic connections from the ancient times to nowadays is displayed in three wards upstairs. The objects in the showcases, documents and photos introduce the politics and social history of the area. We show for example a seat of a judge, the warrant of Rózsa Sándor, a meerschaum etc.

We demonstrate photos of the old town of Orosháza and Gyopárosfürdő, The 20th century is presented in a photo montage. The contemporary folk cloths are shown on shepherd and betyár (outlaw) figures.

Guidance in Hungarian, English and German is provided for those interested. Unfortunately, because of this feature, only small groups can visit the exhibition at a time. Thus, prior notice is required from groups.
