Smiths were always very crucial workers in mines. In the first period of mining in Ajka, almost all iron works were done by smiths.
They loaded the mine cars, fixed tools and bogies, and did so many other important iron related works. In the original forgery behind the shaft tools, anvil, other tools, as well as a fire used to heat up iron can be seen.
