People have always wanted to liberate themselves from the limits of their senses and freely explore their surroundings. This aspiration led to the birth of a new science that made use of the refraction of light: the development of optics and precision-mechanics has brought revolutionary results to all fields of natural science.
A taste of the exhibition
The exhibition presents the history of optical mechanical equipment, more than 100 types of microscopes, the tools of photography, film making, and cartography dating from the 1780s, and the different stages in the development of glasses and binoculars.
