The exhibition is the the most ambitious exhibition presented by the Móra Ferenc Museum to date. The exhibits are on display simultaneously in three locations in the framework of the temporary exhibition in Szeged. The three locations are the. Kass Gallery, the Fekete Ház and the Móra Ferenc Museum.

The three locations will open its doors at three different times, and all three sites show ancient Egyptian life and life after death from a different perspective. In total, more than 300 works of art will be adopted in the three exhibition sites. The treasures are to arrive from the Museum of Fine Arts, several public collections in Hungary, Vienna and Heidelberg to Szeged .

Kass Gallery launched the first Pharaoh fever on: April 11, consisting of a burial chamber where a more than two thousand years old sarcophagus of a man is on display. In addition, nearly seventy funeral related special items and some related to after life believes are to be seen inside surrounded by hand-painted walls. In the small room of the art, ancient graphics graphics and illustrations are to be shown by the legendary graphic artist János Kass.

On 9 May, the Embalming Hall is to be opened in the Fekete Ház: The part of the exhibition entitled 'Hall of Embalming' presents original human and animal mummies to the general public, who may also get to know the special secrets of mummification and embalming too. The most important mysteries and history of Egyptian writing.are also presented here. In this exhibition space a major significance is devoted to the visitors and their inclusion in te interactive elements.

The third part yis to open on Museums' Night, on June 21: The central location for the Pharaohs of Egypt's is the Móra Ferenc Museum. Here again several rooms will be decorated "Pharaoh style" The unique church façade installation allows anyone to fell like being in ancient Egypt, while the visitors may also dress up in Egyptian clothes. This site also presents the world of sovereigns, the clergy and the world of ordinary people as well. A variety of exciting interactive elements all are in favour of the visitors' involvement, from children up to the older age groups.

Egypt of the Pharaohs has been the largest scale endeavour of Móra Ferenc Museum so far. The three exhibition sites await the visitors on nearly 1,200 square meters with wonderful and exciting world of secrets of ancient Egypt. The exhibitions are open until 16 December, 2014..
