Stone carvings of the diocese, from the city of Veszprém, and from the castle hill - a medieval architectural sections, tombstone fragments, baroque altar and baptismal font, and fragments of statues - all can be found in the Stonework Collection.

The 11th century palmette carvings are from medieval buildings of the episcopal seat. The arch keystone from around 1400 was discovered during the renovation works of the church, as well as some partly painted sections of the St. George's, and Gizella Chapels from the 13th century and also segments of the baroque altar of the latter and the iron screen from the renovation works from 1938.

Most of the fragments gt underground due to the destruction of the Ottomans and secondly the subsequent reconstruction, using them as building material in castle walls, baroque churches and walls of houses. Thus, the collection is constantly enriched with stone carvings brought to earth during the archaeological excavations and researches.

The Lapidarium that as opened on occasion of Gizella's Day opens on 7 May 2014.
