Lussa Vince was born in 1924 in Budapest. He attended the University of Law and Polytechnic but he favored photography instead. His first pictures were published when he attended Secondary School in 1941. Even master Angelo thought him very talented.
The picture was made by Lussa Vince
His works can be characterized with thorough picture design, ornamentation with light and favoring the everyday topics. Unfortunately, most of his works were devastated in WWII. The few left shows the values of his early period. One of these is the take showing milk bottles.

He restarted his career in the 50's when he found his way to nature photography with the pictures made in the arboretum of Jeli and Kámon. Some of the pictures showing beautiful flowers, trees and other pictures of nature already contained human figures. These, however, were not portraits but studies showing the beauty of human body moving in nature. He found his main topic while endeavoring in the aforementioned: female figure, the nude. He became the master of writing with light when submerging into painting women. The way he put it: he became the sculptor of light.

Unfortunately, the representation of naked body was taken for the milestone of scandal in the fake Puritanism of the 50's and 60's. Thus, Lussa Vince was put on the 'black list'. Even later, he was just sustained. Still, his value is shown by the fact that he was chosen to be the president of the Association of Hungarian Photo Artists that participated at several exhibition s abroad. One of these was the Photography Expo in Belgium in 1958.

Following the expo, he could participate at several exhibitions in Hungary like at the National Photography Exhibition of Győr with the picture titled 'Gyurika'.

Along with advertisements becoming important part of life, female, portraits and nudes became more popular. This was the time of Lussa Vince. All of a sudden, he became popular. He took the photos that appeared in the adds of the Palma- Taurus factory and the Fabulon Cosmetics.

With his success, his black and white pictures could be shown too. His first independent exhibition was held in 1978 in the Fényes Adolf Ward in Budapest. The exhibited more than 50 photos were very successful. Following this, the exhibitions following one after another brought him international success as well.

We wish to open our exhibition this time made up of the pictures the artist donated to the National Széchényi Library with the aim of rendering him acknowledgment.
