Born in 1922 in Nagyréde, Hungary. He finished his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Budapest, as the student of Aurél Bernáth. In 1949 he won the Ist Prize at the World Youth Festival in Budapest. In 1975 he gained a csholarship to Italy and had an exhibition at the Hungarian Academy in Rome. In addition he travelled to Poland (Crakow, Warsaw),France (Paris), Russia (Moscow, St. Peterssburg), Holland (Amsterdam), Belgium (Brussels, Ghent), Germany (Weimar, Leipzig, Berlin, Munich), Czech Republic (Prague), and Greece.
