The introductory part of the exhibition shows the wondering of gypsies and their settling in Hungary, as well as the varied Gypsy groups living in Hungary.

The Beás gypsies take the center position of the display. Besides several archive photos and historic documents, the visitors can see traditional trades of the Beás such as the basket and wooden washtub making.
We screen ethnography and sociology based films on gypsies with Gypsy folk music playing in the background. We offer the exhibition to all the Gypsy visitors who can learn of the way their grandparents used to live and which is almost completely gone by now. For all those visitors who are not Gypsies, we offer the exhibition because they can get a clearer picture of those people who has lived around us for centuries and of whom we know so little.
The exhibition was made in coproduction of Drava Museum, The Museum of Local History of Marcali and Balatoni Museum.
