The first Ikarus bus made in 1948 in the Mátyásföld factory's assembly hall and 60 years later in 2008 manufacturing was reported to have been finished definitively. One of the pride of Hungarian industrial history became into legend.
During the 60 years several standard types were mass produced. All of them became world famous.
This exhibition reminds us of the smoking loud blue buses of the Budapest streets. They were often abused, but beloved and belonged to our life.
Many photos, modells and documents will be exhibited .These objects have been collected by the committed friends of the IKARUS, they rescue and collect the traceable relics.
