The exhibition titled 'Artisanship and Art' is open in the Balatoni Museum in Keszthely from 11-31, October. It presents the art of the vernacular people in and around Keszthely.
48 artist take part at the exhibition where objects of 18 crafts, wood carving, lace making, embroidery, ceramics-, basket-, doll making egg painting etc. will be on display.
We include crafts that are not strictly folk art (goblin, glass), but they are related to it.
The authors are teachers, architects, technicians, housewives or shepherds eg., but everyone who is talented and likes traditional culture can participate. Many of the artists have won several prizes at exhibitions.
We welcome all visitors everyday except on Mondays in 10-18 in the Balatoni Museum in Keszthely.
