The Town Gallery of Orosháza opened its gates on 23, October 1996 in the so-called Bille House. The miller Bulla Mihály ordered the building of the house in 1866. The two story house was used for several purposes, it was a post office, pharmacy, etc. continue
Permanent exhibitions
Emil Vitroel was born in 1929 in Csermő in Arad county. His career was helped by Soós József, the world famous sculptor living in Romania. He finished the Collage of Fine Art of Bucharest with honors in 1955. Then he moved back to Arad along with his young colleagues with the aim to make the town a cultural center. continue
The photographer Müller Miklós is one of the significant figures of Hungarian socio-photo art. He was born on 18, April 1913 in Orosháza. He attended primary school in Orosháza, secondary school in Szeged and Hódmezővásárhely. continue
The painter Tibor Feldmann was born non 29 March 1945 in Orosháza. Ever since his childhood, he wanted to be a painter so he attended the Károly Kerti graphic arts study circle. Later on, his masters were József Rajki and Ferenc Bazsali but János Lóránt also affected his art greatly. continue
Boldizsár István was bon on 29, July 1897 in Orosháza. He belonged to the third generation of the Nagybányai School that formed in 1986 and influenced the development of Hungarian fine art for the following years. He grew up in Orosháza; his interest in art can be traced back to his childhood and the family relation Tornyai János. His talent was soon discovered. continue
