In the 'Geographiai' Dictionary of Hungary published in 1851 the acknowledged Hungarian scientist, Fényes Elek, introduced the L'Huillier-Coburg Castle of Edelény. 'It is situated at a beautiful place, in a little slope next to the creek Boldva, on a peninsula with a beautiful view to the Boldva and the river Sajó, to the hills on the west and north-east.
